Believe it or not, coming up with names is the hardest part about writing a story. At least they are for me. Seriously, after a while you have a hundred Bills, Franks, Tinas, and Karens. Sure, I am being figurative, but I am honest when I say that names are one of the toughest parts for me when it comes to writing a book. I am always asking friends if I can bastardize their names and such for my books. A while back, I asked the guys of the band Motorbreath if they would be interested in me using their names for a group of bad guys in an upcoming book. Kevin Staley was the most enthusiastic with his patented “F%$k yeah!” Seriously, Rock Stars and Zombies…that is like peanut butter and chocolate.
It just so happens that the amazing drummer for Motorbreath is also a talented artist. He went to work on a little something special. He created his own version of a cover with artistic renditions of the band Motorbreath in all their animated glory. We will be having special edition prints of the book created with this special cover. If all goes well this book might be made available at some upcoming concert events in the Portland area. If you would be interested in a copy signed by me and the band, speak up now. We are just dipping our toes in the water to see what sort of interest there may be for such a thing.
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested. And if you are not in the Portland area, that is even more important since it is unlikely that we would see you at a show. We might be able to ship a few to those of you outside the decibel level of a Motorbreath concert.
