Yeah, I know. The tax man cometh. Many of us are watching the calendar with a sense of dread, so how can we even consider finding April 15th a day to celebrate? For the men and women of Liberty, South Carolina…it means so much more. The dead have risen with a hunger for living flesh. This small town between Clemson and Greenville has to contend within not only the undead, but also outsiders who wish to do them harm or take advantage of their hospitality.
To compound to their problems, a radical religious sect decides this is the End Times and their neighbors and fellow citizens have brought down the wrath of God. The people of Liberty must now turn on their own if they want a chance at survival. If only it were that easy.
When Mayor Jamie Burns decides to seal off the town to outsiders, there is an initial show of support. They have worked and fortified a “Safe Zone” and hope to ride out the apocalypse to the end. Things almost seem to be settling down. A daily routine is established. Outsiders are turned away and raiders quickly learn there are easier pickings…but what happens when a mother and her three children arrive at the gates, asking to be let in? How can the town survive another division when the mayor sticks to her guns? Can this be reconciled?
